4 Ways To Build Incoming Links
1. Posting Different Types Of Content
Some people think that content creation involves only blog posts or articles, but there are a variety of different things you can do with an article to maximize its link building potential.
You can have an article read out loud in order to turn it into an MP3, which can then be used as content for an audio blog or podcast directory. You can also convert your articles into a video using a slideshow and audio narration, which can then be used to build links from video sharing websites.
2. Participating In Forums
Building links from a forum does not mean that you only post a couple times and then never return, but instead it means being a valuable member in that forum.
Most forum software has a retroactive linking process for your resource box, which means that if you make 500 posts over a few months and then add links in your resource box, those links will be posted on every one of your posts and not just the current ones.
3. Constructive Blog Comments
You can also build incoming links by leaving comments on other blogs that allow you to insert a website address.
In order to be the most effective, your comments should be constructive and positive in nature to ensure that the blog owner will accept your comments. You can even become a registered user of the blog in order to build scores of links over time.
4. Web Link Directories
Many people who have been using the internet for some time might have a flash back to the 1990's when you bring up the topic of web directories, but the truth is that these can still be great tools for building links back to your website. The best kind of directory listing to have is a paid listing, which is likely to transfer the highest amount of Pagerank to your website.

Re: 4 Ways To Build Incoming Links
I wouldn't focus on getting links anymore, you should go for quality content and just let it go natural linkbuilding, i know this is quite hard in the beginning but in the end "Google" will respect your website more and your visitors will do the same as well.
